Tin Can Bay Tourist Park is committed to environmental sustainability and preserving and protecting our communities and the environment, including recycling, reducing energy consumption, and protecting our local wildlife.

Recycling Cans and Bottles

With an in-house Recycling program which raises funds for Not-for-profit Rainbow Beach Drought Runners, which personally distributes funds & supplies to people affected by Droughts, Floods and Fire. Speak to the office regarding our recycling program.

How you can help

We ask our guests to support these initiatives by:

  • Separating your recycling and rubbish and use the bins in the park accordingly.
  • Use bins provided for bottles and cans.
  • Switch off your lights, air-conditioners, and appliances when you leave your accommodation.
  • Hang your towels to dry in Cabins.
  • Conserve water
  • Gold Coin Donation Supporting Tin Can Bay Coast Guard for use of Car Wash area.
  • Asking for receipts and booking confirmations to be emailed rather than printed.
  • Run your grey water into the designated sullage points, protecting our delicate Wallum Wetland which has an abundance of birds and wildlife.
